I was lucky I have never been bullied, and never have been a bully myself however if not for this book as a teenager I would have never thought how sorrowful can be the consequences of behaviour based on gregarious instincts.
Scarecrow (Чучело )
This is a moving story about a girl in a provincial Russian town nicknamed as ‘Scarecow’ by her classmates. Lena Bessoltseva and her grandfather Nikolay Bessoltsev art collector and altruist represent the dignity, kindness and courage of a human as opposed to cowardice and cruelty of Lena’s prosecutors.

Ingredients:
Closed cup Mushrooms 2 middle packs 400 gr
Dry Brown cap boletus 150 gr
Pickled honey agarics 100 gr
Sauerkraut 1 large cup
Carrot 1
Onion 1
Bay leaf
(Chicken broth optional 1 liter) please feel free to add water instead (vegetarian option)
Sour cream (optional)
Butter 100 gr or Corn oil 3 table spoons (vegetarian option)
Soak the dry mushrooms in the water for 3 hours
boil for an hour adding a bay leaf
Cook in butter the chopped carrot and onion, fry fresh mushrooms separately in butter and add to carrot/ onion mix, cook for about 5 minutes add the chicken broth
continue cooking, drain the dry mushrooms (put the stock aside you will need it later) and cook mushrooms for 5 minutes in butter.
Mix the fresh mushrooms with dry mushrooms and add the dry mushroom stock if necessary,
cook for 30 minutes on low heat, add sauerkraut and pickled honey agarics,
simmer for 5 more minutes depending how crunchy or soft you like the sauerkraut in the soup
Remove the bay leaf, garnish with fresh onions, parsley and add sour cream before serving.
